Nick Cave is going back to the format that turned his theatre shows into something closer to a long evening with the man himself. Conversations With Nick Cave: An Evening of Talk and Music plays 25 nights across the US and Canada between 9 April and 21 May 2027, according to the official announcement on his site.
For anyone new to it: Cave, the Australian songwriter behind Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, sits at a piano, plays songs from across his catalogue and answers questions from the audience that nobody has screened beforehand. The run is a return to the tour of the same name he first took out in 2019. He describes the plan simply: "I'll have my piano with me, play some songs, and answer questions."

How to get tickets
An artist presale opens on Wednesday 11 November at 10am local time and runs until 10pm local time on Thursday 12 November. Fans register for access at nickcaveconversations.com. General sale follows on Friday 13 November at 10am local time, with Montreal on sale at 11am local time.
Prices were not listed in the announcement. We will add them to the gig guide once the ticketing pages go live.
Why it matters
Cave's recent years have leaned into direct contact with his audience, through his Red Hand Files letters and solo piano tours. This run puts that exchange back in a room, which is where it works best: the questions are unpredictable, and so are the songs that follow them.
