Diana Ross plays her only Australian show in 2027, headlining Sydney Summertime on 5 March

Diana Ross is coming back to Australia for one night. The Motown legend will headline Sydney Summertime at Centennial Park on Friday 5 March 2027, and it will be her only Australian show on this visit.

It is her first concert in the country since 2006, when she played Sydney and Melbourne. Ross is 82 years old, a founding member of The Supremes and the voice behind "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out", so a local date this rare is a proper event.

The night

The show sits on the eve of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade, which suits a set built around "I'm Coming Out". British dance duo Groove Armada, the people behind "At the River" and "Superstylin'", will play a DJ set in support, and the promoters say more guests are still to be announced.

Sydney Summertime is a new open-air concert series run by Black Peach Touring, the company founded by Jessica Ducrou and Elise Huntley, and supported by Destination NSW. Ross is the third headliner announced for its first season, after The Strokes and Kings of Leon. It is an all-ages series: children aged 12 and under go free, there are youth tickets for ages 13 to 27, and anyone under 18 must come with a responsible adult.

Tiers run from General Admission through Gold Circle, The Grove VIP Village and The Terrace to Corporate Suites, with food and bars on site.
