Sónar has named its first 30 acts for 2027, and the festival returns to Barcelona from 17 to 19 June 2027. Sónar is one of Europe's longest-running meeting points for electronic music, club culture and digital art, split into a daytime programme and a night-time one.
Who is on the bill
Carl Cox, the British techno veteran, is the biggest name on the poster. Peggy Gou, the Seoul-born DJ and producer, and Bonobo are also in, alongside Jessie Ware, who has spent recent years making dance-floor pop, and the drum and bass pioneer Goldie, who plays live.
Further up the list you will find Japan's Cornelius, Swedish rapper Yung Lean, Dominican artist Tokischa, Honey Dijon with her Sinister project, and Romy of The xx on a DJ set. Chris Liebing and Speedy J appear together as Collabs3000, and Busy P plays back to back with Girl Ultra.
The full first wave: Adriana Lopez presents Suut, Aurora Halal (live), Bonobo, Busy P b2b Girl Ultra, Carl Cox, Collabs3000, Cornelius, Disobey Sound System, Donato Dozzy & Batu, Drizzyclare, Ehua & Flore, Frost Children, Funk Assault, Goldie (live), Honey Dijon presents Sinister, Jessie Ware, Job Jobse, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, KI/KI, Kristina, Opal Sunn, Oscar Mulero, Peggy Gou, Romy (DJ set), SALOME, Tash LC, TK MAMI, Tokischa and Yu Su.
Dates, venues and passes
Sónar by Day runs across all three days, 17 to 19 June, at a waterfront site in central Barcelona that has not yet been announced; it is shared with the Sónar+D creative-technology programme. Sónar by Night is at Fira Gran Via on 18 and 19 June.
Passes are on sale now through the official Sónar site:
- SonarPass: €160
- SonarPass+D: €175
- SonarPass VIP: €275
- SonarPass+D VIP: €300
Flex versions cost a little more and allow a full refund if requested by 28 February 2027. Prices include taxes and fees.
Why it matters
A first wave of 30 usually leaves plenty to come, and the daytime venue is still to be named. What this one already shows is Sónar's usual spread: techno institutions next to pop crossover names, Latin club acts and left-field live sets on the same weekend.
