Courteeners are heading outdoors next summer. The Manchester indie band have lined up seven UK shows between 30 May and 28 August 2027, in parks, castles and an amphitheatre, and tickets go on sale at 10am UK time on Friday 6 November through Ticketmaster.
For readers new to them: Courteeners are the band fronted by Liam Fray, who have been a fixture of British guitar music since their 2008 debut St. Jude, with a reputation for big, singalong crowds in and around Manchester. The outdoor run follows their best-of collection God Bless the Band, released in August 2026, which gathers two decades of songs and adds two new tracks, "The Luckiest Man Alive" and "Plus One Forever".
The dates
- Sunday 30 May 2027: Victoria Park, Warrington
- Friday 11 June 2027: Lincoln Castle, Lincoln
- Saturday 12 June 2027: Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough
- Thursday 8 July 2027: Exhibition Park, Newcastle upon Tyne
- Friday 9 July 2027: The Piece Hall, Halifax
- Friday 16 July 2027: Ludlow Castle, Ludlow
- Saturday 28 August 2027: Don Valley Grass Bowl, Sheffield
Who is on the bill
Newcastle is part of the In The Park series, and The Coral and Greater Manchester singer-songwriter Seb Lowe are confirmed as support. That show runs 5pm to 10pm, with last entry at 7:30pm, and has a VIP option with its own bar, seating area and entrance lane.
Sheffield is the biggest night on paper. It is the Rock N Roll Circus, where Courteeners headline over The Vaccines and The Lathums, with more names promised. It is also billed as their only Sheffield show of 2027.
Support acts for the other dates have not been announced in full, and we will update when they are. Prices were not published with the announcement, so check the ticket page when it opens on Friday.
Why it matters
Courteeners have long been a band whose live shows outrun their radio profile, and a run of castle and park gigs plays to that. Pairing them with The Coral in Newcastle and a younger crop of Northern guitar bands in Sheffield makes the summer look like a proper celebration of the scene they came up in.
