HYUKOH, the Seoul band that carried Korean indie rock to audiences far beyond Korea, have announced their third studio album and a world tour that includes their first US shows since 2019.
The album is called 33 and arrives on 25 November 2026 at 6 pm KST. It is the band's first full-length record since through love in 2020. A pre-save page is live, and the cover art was made by the artist Minjeong An. A label and a tracklist have not been shared yet.
Three songs have already come out ahead of it: "Godspeed!", which arrived in August, plus "KoK" and "losing day". The last of those was released on 7 October as a collaboration with Tseng Kuo Hung.
The 2027 dates
- 16 and 17 January: Olympic Hall, Seoul
- 20 February: Taipei Music Center, Taipei
- 16 March: Toyosu Pit, Tokyo
- 27 March: The Novo, Los Angeles
- 29 March: The Regency Ballroom, San Francisco
- 31 March: The Showbox, Seattle
- 3 April: Big Ears Festival, Knoxville
- 5 April: Metro, Chicago
- 7 April: The Danforth Music Hall, Toronto
- 9 April: Brooklyn Paramount, New York
- 16 June: Troxy, London
The band say more dates will follow. Tickets for the North American and London shows are listed through Ticketmaster; on-sale times had not been published when we checked, so watch the band's channels.
Why it matters
If you are new to them: HYUKOH formed around the singer and guitarist Oh Hyuk and broke through in the mid 2010s with a loose, jangling sound that sat far from the K-pop machine. Their last North American run was in 2019, so a Brooklyn Paramount night and a Troxy date in London are a long-awaited return for fans who watched the band mostly from afar.
