Macklemore opened his Free Palestine shows on Monday, 26 October 2026 at Dublin's 3Arena, a sold-out night built as a benefit and loaded with Irish guests.
The Seattle rapper had announced the shows in September after being removed from Ed Sheeran's US tour following pro-Palestinian remarks onstage. The run is billed as "Macklemore and Friends", and the proceeds are earmarked for groups supporting Palestinians. For Dublin, those included Gaza Soup Kitchen, Medical Aid for Palestinians and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, with Medical Aid for Palestinians and UNRWA stands in the venue.
Who was on the bill
Hozier joined as a surprise guest and played "Too Sweet". Belfast-born rap trio Kneecap opened their set with "H.O.O.D." and thanked Ed Sheeran for, in their words, helping make the night happen. Traditional-folk band Beoga took part, with Eamon Murray speaking about the band's involvement in Irish Artists for Palestine.
Palestinian singer Lina Makoul opened the music, with DJ Habibeats and US hip-hop duo Dead Prez also on the bill. Actor Liam Cunningham welcomed the crowd, and the night included a video from a Gaza children's choir and video messages from Mark Ruffalo, Cynthia Nixon and Ilana Glazer.
What was said
Macklemore told the crowd it had been a crazy six weeks and said the phrase "free Palestine" had become more controversial than the suffering that made it necessary. He praised Hozier and Kneecap for agreeing to take part straight away.
Hozier used his time to urge the Irish government to approve visas for 55 students from Gaza who hold scholarships at Irish universities, calling the delay baffling, and pointed the audience to a petition and an open letter.
Next dates
The run continues in Paris at Accor Arena on 29 October and at London's Wembley Arena on 30 October 2026. Tickets were on sale through Ticketmaster and all three European dates sold out. US dates and more guests have been teased but not yet announced.
