Skepta's new album, The Fork and Knife, is due on Friday 6 November 2026, two weeks from now. It is released through his own Big Smoke Records with Epic Records, and it is his first solo album since Ignorance Is Bliss in 2019.
If you are meeting him for the first time: Skepta is a rapper and producer from Tottenham, north London, and one of the figures who carried grime out of pirate radio and into the mainstream. Konnichiwa won the Mercury Prize in 2016, and Ignorance Is Bliss was the record that followed it.
What we know so far
The tracklist has not been published and no guest list is confirmed. What is public:
- "Gas Me Up (Diligent)", first released in 2024, is on the album.
- Several other songs were previewed live during his Reading Festival set in August.
- Recent singles including "Chipple" with Aya Nakamura, "Innocent Smile" with Chase & Status and Suggs, and "DANGER DANGER" with Dom Dolla and Solomun are not on the album.
The record has been a long time coming. It was first spoken about as an early 2026 release, then slipped to November, and the title has appeared in print both as The Fork and Knife and Fork & Knife. We are using the title as it appears on the official release listings.
Seeing him live
Skepta is on the bill at Rolling Loud India on 13 December 2026 in Navi Mumbai, his India debut. We covered that lineup here, and it will be the first chance for Indian fans to hear whatever the new album brings. His artist page is at /artist/skepta.
We will publish a full guide to the album, with the tracklist and credits, once it is out.
