Meshuggah announce the Forty-Year Anomaly Tour, 35 North American dates with Testament and Blood Incantation

Meshuggah are turning 40, and they are marking it on the road. The Swedish band have announced the Forty-Year Anomaly Tour, 35 shows across the United States and Canada in 2027, with the thrash veterans Testament and the death metal adventurers Blood Incantation on the bill.

The dates

The run starts at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto on 12 February 2027 and works through Canada and the eastern and midwestern US until the first leg closes at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on 6 March. The second leg picks up at the PNE Forum in Vancouver on 15 April and heads down the West Coast and across the south before finishing in Milwaukee on 14 May.

Highlights include Chicago's Salt Shed on 17 February, the Brooklyn Paramount on 3 March, a night at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on 21 April, and the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California on 25 April.

Three of the dates are festival slots: Welcome to Rockville in Daytona Beach on 8 May, Sonic Temple in Columbus on 13 May and Milwaukee Metal Fest on 14 May. Testament and Blood Incantation are confirmed for the headline shows; support for the festival dates has not been detailed.

Tickets

Presales begin on 27 October 2026, and general sale opens on Friday 30 October at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster. Check the band's official site for the full schedule.

Why 40 matters

Meshuggah formed in Umeå, Sweden in 1987 and went on to rewrite the rulebook for heavy music with polymetric riffs, displaced accents and extended-range guitars. Records such as Destroy Erase Improve, Chaosphere, obZen and Immutable made them one of the most imitated bands in modern metal, and their live show, with lighting locked precisely to the drumming, is a big part of the draw.

The band have already marked the milestone in 2026 with newly remastered anniversary editions of Destroy Erase Improve and Catch Thirtythree. Their last North American run was in spring 2025 and ended at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The bill is a smart one. Testament bring Bay Area thrash and decades of their own history, while Blood Incantation, the Denver band behind the cosmic death metal of Hidden History of the Human Race, are among the most talked about acts in heavy music right now.
