Primavera Sound has announced the first lineup for its 25th edition, and it is the usual Primavera mix of guitar bands, pop stars, rappers and club heavyweights on one poster. The festival returns to the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona for three main days, 3 to 5 June 2027, with a free opening day on 2 June and a closing party on 6 June.
If you are meeting Primavera for the first time: it is one of Europe's big city festivals, held by the Mediterranean on the Fòrum site on the edge of Barcelona. It has built its name on programming that sits well beyond the obvious, and for years it has pushed to book a gender-balanced bill.
Who is playing
The names leading the poster include Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers and Fontaines D.C., alongside Massive Attack, Caroline Polachek, Hayley Williams, The Chemical Brothers, Robyn, Lola Young, Bad Gyal and Prospa.
There is a booking for the dance floors too: Skrillex and Ninajirachi will play a back-to-back set. Further down the poster you will find names such as Pavement, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Turnstile, FKA twigs, Tinashe, Julien Baker, CHVRCHES, Weyes Blood, Arca, Bicep and Underworld, plus the reunion of Don Caballero.
The festival's own announcement describes a bill of roughly 150 artists across the three main days, with women leading it.
Tickets and dates
Fan Sale registration is open on the festival's official site until 23:59 CEST on 7 October. The Fan Sale itself runs from 11:00 CEST on 8 October for 24 hours or until tickets run out, with full festival tickets at €295 and VIP at €545, before booking fees. General sale follows from 9 October at 11:00 CEST, at a higher starting price of €350 for the standard ticket.
Fans paying in instalments through AccessTicket need to register for the Fan Sale with the same email address as their AccessTicket account.
Why this one matters
A 25th anniversary is a chance to look back, but the poster mostly looks forward. Doechii, Lola Young and Ninajirachi are all acts who have broken through in the last couple of years, while Massive Attack, Pavement and Underworld bring the long view. Fontaines D.C., who have been building toward bigger rooms, are one of the clearest signs of where European guitar music sits right now.
Expect more names to be added before June. We will update the gig guide as dates and prices change.
