The expanded edition adds three B-sides and three live recordings, which the band says completes everything finished during the sessions.

My Chemical Romance are marking 20 years of The Black Parade with an expanded anniversary edition, due on Friday 23 October 2026. It carries six extra tracks and, according to the band, gathers everything they finished in those sessions for the first time in one place.
The reissue arrives on 2xLP, CD and cassette, with several variants and new artwork. Pre-orders are open through the band's official link.
The bonus tracks
Three of the additions are B-sides: "Heaven Help Us", "Kill All Your Friends" and "My Way Home Is Through You". The other three are live recordings: "Dead!", "The Sharpest Lives" and "Someone Out There Loves You", captured in Hoboken, New Jersey. The live "The Sharpest Lives" is already on streaming services.
"Twenty years on, we celebrate its release," the band wrote in its announcement. "For the first time, we have included everything we finished during those sessions in a single collection."
Why it still matters
For anyone meeting the band now: The Black Parade was My Chemical Romance's 2006 concept album, a rock opera about a dying patient and the marching band that comes to meet him. It gave the New Jersey group "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Famous Last Words" and "Teenagers", and it is the record many fans point to when they explain what emo became at its most theatrical.
Two decades on it is still one of the most argued-over, most loved records of its generation, which is exactly why a complete-sessions edition lands as an event rather than a cash-in.
