Jeshi's mixtape Headrush is set for release today, 26 October 2026, through Select Discs and Partisan Records. It is ten tracks long, and it is built around the one thing the London artist has said he always loved and never quite felt part of: the club.
Who Jeshi is
Jeshi is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Walthamstow in north-east London, known for warm, conversational records that sit somewhere between UK rap, indie and R&B. Headrush is a deliberate step toward the dancefloor, and he has spoken about the idea in terms of his own history: teenage trips from Walthamstow out to clubs in Essex, where the volume and the excess felt like another world, and a lifelong feeling of being an outsider to dance music even as it shaped him. He has also said he likes how immediate club music is, and wants to play these songs to a crowd straight away.
The tracklist
The ten tracks, in order:
- "peace at last" (with Ineffekt)
- "PSYCHO!"
- "champagne" (with Fredwave and Big Ever)
- "thames"
- "make me sane" (with Just Lil)
- "linea rossa" (with Cameo Blush)
- "headrush" (with X CLUB.)
- "at the wheel"
- "carousels"
- "before u" (with Oscar Farrell)
Three of the songs came out as advance singles: "champagne", "at the wheel" and "linea rossa".
Why it matters
The guest list is the story. Ineffekt, Fredwave, Just Lil, Cameo Blush, X CLUB. and Oscar Farrell are a long way from a standard rap-feature roll call, which tells you how seriously Jeshi is taking the pivot. This is a mixtape, not a studio album, and the format suits the idea: quick, club-length and meant to be played loud.
