Anuel AA has confirmed two albums for the end of 2026: Real Hasta La Muerte 2, the sequel to his 2018 debut, and a full corridos record that he describes as a gift to Mexico. No release date has been set for either.
The Puerto Rican artist, one of the founding voices of Latin trap, made the announcement on 20 October 2026 at the industry's Latin music week in Miami Beach. He pointed to November for Real Hasta La Muerte 2, which he says mixes reggaeton and trap, and said he plans to celebrate the new music on his birthday, 26 November. He also hinted that the corridos album could arrive the same day.
What we know
Real Hasta La Muerte 2 is his first full album in four years, following Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren 2 in 2022. Anuel has said he took time away from the grind to be with his children and family after more than a decade in the business.
The corridos project is the bigger surprise. Corridos are Mexican story songs that the current regional Mexican boom has pushed into the global mainstream, and Anuel has said much of the record was written in Mexico, where he says he has spent more of this year than in the United States. He named Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Tito Double P and Netón Vega as artists he admires and counts as friends, and said he plans to record with Fuerza Regida leader Jesús Ortiz.
Why it matters
Reggaeton and trap names crossing into corridos is the Latin music story of the year. Fuerza Regida and Peso Pluma are among the most nominated acts at this year's Latin awards shows, and Anuel arriving with a full corridos record puts a trap pioneer into the same lane.
Treat the timing as his stated plan rather than a confirmed schedule: neither album has an official date, tracklist or label announcement yet. We will update this story when one lands.
