Jamie T has a new album, and it has been out since Friday. Ghosts (100 Days of Morning) is the London songwriter's sixth record, released on 9 October 2026 through Polydor. It runs to 11 songs and about 39 minutes, and it is his first full album since The Theory of Whatever in 2022.
For readers meeting him for the first time: Jamie T (Jamie Treays) came out of south-west London in the mid-2000s with a scrappy, talky mix of punk, hip-hop cadence and folk storytelling, and has been one of the most quietly influential British songwriters of his generation since. His most recent live moment was his biggest yet, a headline show at Finsbury Park.
What is on it
The tracklist, in order: "3310", "Cocktail", "Waist 36 Leg 32", "All I Wanna See Is Now", "The Won", "Chelsea Girls", "Ghosts", "Crimson & Clover", "Crucible", "Caught Cheating" and "Tallahassee".
Ten of those are originals. The title track is a cover of "Ghosts" by The Jam, the Paul Weller-written song from 1982, which makes the album's name a nod as well as a mood.
"3310" opens the record and was the first song shared from it. "Cocktail" is the one with the famous guest: Damon Albarn co-wrote it with Jamie T and James Dring and plays keys on it, while Jamie and Dring produced it. "Tallahassee" is built around a sample of Leif Vollebekk.
Hugo White of The Maccabees, a close friend of Jamie's, also guests on the album.
The idea behind it
Announcing the record in August, Jamie T described the theme in his own words: "Everyone has a part of themselves they keep at arm's length, even from the people they love." The album, as he framed it, is an attempt to find again a version of himself he had lost touch with.
Where it sits in his story
Between albums Jamie T has not been quiet. He reworked his 2023 song "Hippodrome" with Fred again.. as "Lights Burn Dimmer", and played a one-off hit-and-run show at London's Scala on 20 August 2026 as the album was announced.
We have not written a review here: this is a guide to what is on the record and who made it. If you are new to him, start with the opener, then jump to "Cocktail" to hear the Albarn connection, and finish on the Jam cover.
Ghosts (100 Days of Morning) is out now on all streaming services.
