The Wombats take their debut on the road for its 20th birthday, with ten UK and European dates in April 2027

The Wombats are marking twenty years of their debut album with a run of ten shows across the UK and mainland Europe in April 2027. The Liverpool trio's record, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, came out in 2007 and gave them "Let's Dance to Joy Division", "Kill the Director" and "Moving to New York". The band's own site now carries a "twenty years" banner and UK and EU tour posters.

The dates

The plan is to play the debut in full in the first half of each night, then move on to songs from the albums that followed. These are the dates and rooms as listed for the tour:

• 1 April: Paris, Le Trianon
• 3 April: Cologne, Palladium
• 4 April: Berlin, Columbiahalle
• 5 April: Munich, Zenith
• 7 April: Amsterdam, Gashouder
• 8 April: Antwerp, Trix
• 10 April: Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse
• 13 April: Glasgow, O2 Academy Glasgow
• 16 April: London, O2 Academy Brixton
• 18 April: Liverpool, Arts Club

The Snuts, Cherryholt, Abbie McCarthy and Filip Clements are named as support across the run. Check the support for your own night, since the listing does not say who plays where.

How to get tickets

UK pre-sale opens on 14 October 2026, and general sale starts at 9am BST on 16 October through Ticketmaster UK. Prices were not published with the announcement, so check the ticket page before you plan travel. European on-sale details should be confirmed with each venue.

Why this record

The debut was a British indie-pop landmark of its decade: bright guitars, big choruses and lyrics about heartbreak that were funnier than they had any right to be. It has sold over 400,000 copies in the UK alone. Playing it front to back is a small gamble for a band with several later albums, but the Brixton and Liverpool nights will probably be the ones where the whole room knows every word.
