U2 have named their next world tour, and Latin America gets it first. Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour opens at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on 23 February 2027, with Beck supporting on every date announced so far.
The band announced the first six shows on 15 October 2026, alongside a new single of the same name as the tour. These are the only three Latin American cities the tour will visit in 2027.
The dates
- 23 and 26 February 2027: Estadio GNP Seguros, Mexico City
- 10 and 12 March 2027: Estádio MorumBIS, São Paulo
- 23 and 25 March 2027: Estadio River Plate, Buenos Aires
Dates for Europe and North America are due in the coming weeks, and the band say a return to Ireland is in the works.

The new single
"The Greatest Show On Earth" is the third single from Carnaval De Luz, the band's 16th studio album and their first in nine years, which arrives in their 50th year. It was co-written with Brian Eno, who also co-wrote and played synthesizers on "Go (Carnaval De Luz)" and "Can't Stop Us Now". The video, directed by longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn and shot in the Californian desert, satirises the band as a religious cult where women do all the heavy lifting.
The band describe the tour as a return to a stadium setting built around human connection and intimacy at a grand scale, with a set list drawn from their whole catalogue. In their announcement, Bono, The Edge, Adam and Larry wrote: "It's a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life."
Why it matters
These are U2's first stadium dates since they closed The Joshua Tree Tour at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on 15 December 2019, the last stop of a run that drew almost 3 million fans. For Latin America, which has long been among the band's loudest crowds, the 2027 run puts three of the region's biggest stadiums at the front of the tour.
