KATSEYE have released "Unloveu" to streaming services, and it carries a first for the group: member Lara Raj wrote and produced it. The song arrived at 8pm US Eastern on 13 October 2026, which was already 14 October in Asia.
From hidden track to single
"Unloveu" began as a bonus track on the physical editions of WILD, the group's third EP, which came out on 14 August 2026 through HYBE and Geffen Records. Until now, hearing it meant owning the CD or vinyl. The digital release puts it alongside the EP's singles, "Hootie Frutti" and "Animal."
Raj wrote and produced the song with songwriters Amy Allen and Ross Golan. It is the first time a member of the group has contributed to the writing and production of a KATSEYE song. KATSEYE are a six-member global girl group formed through the HYBE and Geffen survival series Dream Academy, and that makes a member-led credit notable for a group built by a company system.
The video
The clip, on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel, is black and white and much quieter than the colourful visuals for the rest of WILD. It shows the members singing softly in a large empty space and leaving one by one, until a single chair remains. The song itself is a slow ballad.
What comes next
As we reported on 9 October, Sophia Laforteza will rejoin KATSEYE in January 2027 after time away, and the group is preparing for its North American Wildworld Tour.
Find the group on KATSEYE's ADMC page for the full run of coverage.
