John Mayer's Sphere residency now runs to 18 shows, from 8 April to 5 June 2027

John Mayer is turning his first headline run at Sphere in Las Vegas into a proper residency. The shows first went on sale as six nights in April 2027, and the schedule has since grown to 18, finishing on 5 June 2027.

Mayer has played the venue before, but always as part of Dead & Company in 2024 and 2025. This is his own name on the marquee, and the format is built around his three musical lives.

The format

Every night is split into three sets. Mayer opens solo, mostly on acoustic guitar with some piano and electric guitar. He then plays with a full band, and closes with the John Mayer Trio alongside drummer Steve Jordan and bassist Pino Palladino. The shows use Sphere's LED display and its Immersive Sound system.

For long-time fans, the trio is the headline. Mayer, Jordan and Palladino first recorded together as a trio in the mid-2000s, and a Sphere run is a very different stage from the theatres they played then.

All shows are at Sphere, Las Vegas, and the first six are listed at an 8:00 pm Pacific start.
