Rockstar Games has pulled back the curtain on the music of Grand Theft Auto VI, and for hip-hop fans the headline is a station called Dirty South Classics, hosted by Miami's own Trick Daddy and Trina.
The reveal went live on 8 October 2026 on the game's official music page, where players can preview six in-game radio stations ahead of the game's launch on 19 November 2026.
Six stations, six scenes
Dirty South Classics is described by Rockstar as "blasting regional rap and hip-hop classics". Its hosts are Trick and Trina, played by Trick Daddy and Trina. Both came up in Miami's rap scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s, so the casting fits a game built around a fictional version of Vice City and the state of Leonida, which is modelled on Florida.
The other five stations cover a lot of ground:
- Cocoteo FM is a modern Latin station, with hosts El Martillo and La Gata. Bad Bunny is credited as the voice of El Martillo.
- Back Country Radio is the country dial, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, voiced by Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey.
- AfroBank FM plays amapiano, African classics and 3-step, with hosts Burna and Palmsy.
- The Chamber 10.6 is metal from the 1980s onwards, with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
- Flash FM is the pop station, with hosts Robyn and Alex, and is billed as a Vice City institution.
The preview clips on the site are short snippets, and Rockstar has not published full playlists for any station. Only the stations above have been announced so far, so there is room for more, including a contemporary rap dial, but nothing beyond these six is confirmed.
The soundtrack album is separate
Alongside the radio, Rockstar is releasing Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album with 34 original tracks, also due on 19 November. Six debut singles are already on the music page:
- "That's It" by Yung Lean, with Future and Metro Boomin
- "RHYNO" by Travis Scott
- "Sexy Magic" by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Pink Pantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crecy
- "Last Thing You Need" by Morgan Wallen
- "Macacoa 2000" by Rauw Alejandro
- "Bright Lights, Big City" by Keith Richards
For US rap, the pairing of Future and Metro Boomin on a Yung Lean single, plus Travis Scott's "RHYNO", suggests the game's contemporary side will lean heavily on Atlanta and Houston sounds, while the Dirty South Classics station handles the history.
Why it matters
In-game radio has long been one of the most effective ways to introduce a song to a new audience, and GTA stations have given older records a second life before. A Southern rap station run by two of the genre's best-known Miami voices puts a regional catalogue in front of one of the biggest game audiences in the world when the game arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November.
