Greta Van Fleet released Palace for the People on Friday, 9 October 2026, on Republic Records. The Frankenmuth, Michigan band, built around the Kiszka brothers Josh, Jake and Sam plus drummer Danny Wagner, tracked the record in Tennessee during the spring and made it with a new co-producer.
How it was made
The band co-produced the album with Mike Elizondo, a producer whose credits stretch across rock, rap and songwriter records. It is the first time Greta Van Fleet have worked with him. The title points at the idea Sam Kiszka has described: the music itself is the palace.
Jake Kiszka has said he sees it as a rock and roll record at its core that still feels modern in its heart.
The tracklist
The album runs to 13 songs: "Into The Beginning", "Tear It Down", "Heart And The Beat", "Boughten Bliss", "Field Of Stars", "Play Your Games", "Dreams You Hold", "Lost In The Golden", "Touch Again", "Saw You Stand", "Heya", "Call My Own" and "Born Into This".
The singles
Three songs came out ahead of the album. "Play Your Games" was the first sign of life, a comeback single after the band teased it online. "Saw You Stand" followed as a ballad, and the band played it on late-night television. "Tear It Down" arrived as the last single before release day.
The band also played a sold-out show at Metro in Chicago on 31 July 2026, a rare small room for a group that sells arenas.
Where to start
If you want the loud end first, begin with "Tear It Down" and "Play Your Games". If you want the quieter side, "Saw You Stand" is the one the band chose to introduce the record's softer corner.
