Def Leppard book a 45-date North American tour for 2027, with Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts

Def Leppard will spend the first half of 2027 on the road in the United States and Canada. The Sheffield hard rock band have announced 45 arena dates, running from 2 March in Allentown, Pennsylvania to 2 July in Indianapolis, with Goo Goo Dolls on the bill and The Struts as special guests.

It is a long run through the middle of the continent. The band play Montreal, Detroit, Toronto and Quebec City in the opening fortnight, then Boston, Nashville, Chicago and Denver before the spring break. April is the Texas and Plains stretch, including Austin, Fort Worth and Kansas City. May brings the West Coast: Los Angeles on 1 May at the Hollywood Bowl, then San Francisco, Sacramento, Seattle, Vancouver and Edmonton.

The summer leg returns to Texas, then works east through Milwaukee, St. Louis, Atlanta and Cleveland. The big New York night is Madison Square Garden on 23 June, followed by Uncasville, Philadelphia and Charlotte before the Indianapolis finale.

Tickets

The Artist Fan Club presale opens on Monday 12 October at 10am local time, and a Citi and Verizon presale for US dates starts the same day at 12pm local time. More presales will follow through that week. General sale opens on Friday 16 October at 10am local time through Live Nation. Prices had not been published at the time of writing, and dates and venues are listed on the band's official tour page.

What the tour is for

There is no formal tour title yet, and a new studio album is expected in 2027, though its name has not been announced. The band released the single "Rejoice" earlier this year, and singer Joe Elliott has said around 18 songs are in progress, with ten or eleven likely to make the final record. Guitarist Phil Collen has spoken about taking a cue from Queen, letting each member bring big ideas to the material. The last album was Diamond Star Halos in 2022.

The support slots are a smart pairing. Goo Goo Dolls, the Buffalo band behind "Iris", bring a different flavour of 1990s radio rock, while The Struts are the glam-leaning British band that have long been the kind of opener Leppard fans take to quickly.
