Shakira's Madrid residency produced its biggest night so far on Saturday 3 October 2026. The eighth of her 12 shows was broadcast live and free around the world, and Amazon Music says it is now the most-watched livestreamed performance by a female artist on the platform.
The record claim comes from Amazon Music's own announcement on 4 October. The company has not published a full viewership figure alongside it, so we will not put a number on it.
The surprise guest
The headline moment was Dua Lipa walking out to join Shakira for an acoustic version of "Antología", the song from Shakira's 1997 album Pies Descalzos. From the stage, Shakira called it an honour and a privilege to sing a song that means so much to her with someone so admired around the world.
"Antología" is one of the tracks that made Shakira a star across Latin America before her English-language crossover, which is why the choice landed.
Earlier nights of the run have also had guests, among them the Spanish singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz and the Italian star Laura Pausini.
What the residency is
The shows are the Madrid leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, and her first run in Spain since the El Dorado World Tour in 2018. They take place at Shakira Stadium, a temporary venue built for the residency at Iberdrola Music in the Villaverde district, designed by the architecture studio BIG. It holds more than 50,000 people a night, with a cultural programme of exhibitions, talks and food around the concerts under the "Es Latina" banner.
The 3 October show was the first full concert of the run to be streamed internationally, on the Amazon Music app, Prime Video, Fire TV and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, with no subscription needed.
Still to come
Three dates remain: 9, 10 and 11 October 2026. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster España, and the official Madrid events page has the location and transport details, including a free late-night shuttle between Villaverde and Atocha on concert nights.
Shakira has also been in the news this year for "Choka Choka" with Anitta, which was nominated for Best Latin at the MTV VMAs, where Bad Bunny took the prize. Read more on her artist page and in our Latin music coverage.
