Roskilde Festival has started its 2027 programme. The first 18 acts are out for the 55th edition, which runs from 26 June to 3 July 2027 in Roskilde, a short train ride west of Copenhagen, and Tame Impala are the name on the Orange Stage.
Roskilde is one of Europe's oldest and biggest festivals, a non-profit run for charity, with a week-long camping programme and almost 200 acts expected by the time the bill is complete. Organisers expect about 130,000 people on site, including 27,000 volunteers.
Who is on the first list
Tame Impala, the project of Australian songwriter Kevin Parker, headline the Orange Stage. Alongside them in this first wave:
- Kacey Musgraves, the Texas country-pop songwriter
- Caroline Polachek, the American art-pop singer
- Ezra Collective, the London jazz band
- Karpe, the Norwegian hip-hop duo
- Suki Waterhouse, the British-American indie singer
- Lambrini Girls, the Brighton punk duo
- Patti Smith Quartet
- Neurosis, the Californian sludge-metal pioneers
- underscores, the American hyperpop artist
- Denmark's own Emma Sehested Høeg, Kundo and Konvent, plus 454, Drain, G Jones B2B Eprom, James K and Nu Jazz
It is a typical Roskilde spread: a big psychedelic-pop headliner, country and art-pop in the middle, and a lot of heavy, experimental and Scandinavian music further down.
Tickets
Tickets went on sale with the announcement through Tickster, the festival's ticketing partner, and all prices include fees:
- Full festival ticket for the whole week: €355
- Two-day ticket, combining two of the final four days: €300
- One-day ticket: €205
Details are on the official Roskilde Festival site.
Why it matters
Roskilde is a rare place where a headliner like Tame Impala shares a day with Neurosis and a Norwegian rap duo. We will keep tracking the bill as the rest of the 200 acts are revealed. Elsewhere in Europe's 2027 festival season, see our report on Open'er in Gdynia, also led by Tame Impala.
