Nene Royal, the 16-year-old Thai guitarist who won America's Got Talent three weeks ago, had a big night in Singapore on Tuesday 13 October 2026. She opened for Avenged Sevenfold at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, then rejoined the headliners for part of their set.
Who she is
Nene Royal, whose given name is Rattikarn Amloy, comes from Phuket. She won season 21 of the US talent show on 22 September 2026, the first Thai contestant to do so, and took home the US$1 million prize. On the show she covered The Cranberries' "Zombie" and Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," and she played guitar and shared vocals with Emily Armstrong of Linkin Park on "The Emptiness Machine."
The Singapore show
Promoter Midas Promotions announced her as a "very special guest" for the date in September. It was Avenged Sevenfold's first Singapore show in more than 11 years, part of their 2026 Asia run. Tickets started at S$128 and the top category was S$258.
Fan footage from the night indicates a five-song opening set built on rock covers, including "Hysteria," "Killing in the Name" and "Zombie." The same footage shows the band calling her back for "Bat Country" and "Unholy Confessions." Neither band nor promoter has published a setlist at the time of writing, so treat those song titles as unconfirmed.
What is next
She is also due to join Loso's 30th anniversary concert in Bangkok on 21 November 2026, one of several appearances lined up since the win. For a teenager three weeks out of a TV final, playing a headline-sized arena with a veteran American metal band is a quick way to find out what the rock circuit in Southeast Asia feels like.
