Los Gemelos de Sinaloa start their Gemeliza Tour this Friday, 23 October, at Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix. The run is ten US dates, all in theatres and ballrooms plus one arena night at Anaheim's Honda Center, and it ends at YouTube Theater in Inglewood on 12 December.

If you are meeting the duo for the first time: Los Gemelos de Sinaloa are one of the younger names in regional Mexican music, the corridos and sierreño world that has taken over US Latin charts and festival stages in the last few years. The tour supports their new album, The Gemeliza, which came out on 24 September. Songs listed as fan favourites on the venue pages include "Amor", "Tuve Hermano", "Si Me Ven" and "Ahora Todo Es Diferente". Streaming listings also show collaborations released alongside the album with Blessd, Fuerza Regida and El Fantasma.

The dates

23 October: Phoenix, Arizona Financial Theatre
24 October: El Paso, Abraham Chavez Theatre
29 October: Oklahoma City, The Criterion
30 October: Irving, The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory
6 November: Chicago, Aragon Ballroom

22 November: Atlanta, Coca-Cola Roxy
25 November: San Jose, San Jose Civic
28 November: Anaheim, Honda Center
12 December: Inglewood, YouTube Theater

Tickets went on general sale on 11 September through Live Nation, which promotes every date except Oklahoma City, which is booked separately. VIP packages are sold through VIP Nation and may include a meet and greet and a photo opportunity. Prices vary by venue and are on each ticket page. At Inglewood, doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.

Why it matters

Regional Mexican acts now sell out rooms well beyond the border states, and this routing shows it: Chicago, Atlanta and Oklahoma City sit next to the expected Southwest and California stops. Fuerza Regida, who appear in the duo's recent releases, are running their own US tour in the same stretch, so the genre will be on the road in force this autumn.
