Kraftwerk announce two UK shows for 22 and 23 June 2027, in Halifax and Cardiff

Kraftwerk are coming back to the UK next summer, and they are doing it outdoors. The German electronic group will play The Piece Hall in Halifax, West Yorkshire, on Tuesday 22 June 2027, then Cardiff Castle on Wednesday 23 June 2027.

General sale for both shows opens at 10am BST on Friday 23 October 2026. Halifax is a Live at The Piece Hall night, and Club 1779 members of the venue got early access from 20 October. Cardiff is part of the DEPOT Live series, with a pre-sale from 10am today, Thursday 22 October, on the DEPOT Live site. General sale follows through DEPOT Live and Ticketmaster.

At The Piece Hall, a Georgian cloth hall turned open-air courtyard venue, doors open at 6pm with last entry at 8pm and a finish around 10:30pm. Tickets come as General Admission, Balcony and Live at Lounge. Cardiff Castle lists doors at 5pm and a 10:30pm curfew. We have not seen prices published for either show yet, so check the ticket pages when sales open.

Why this one stands out

Kraftwerk formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 and spent the decade building what became the template for electronic pop: "Autobahn", "The Model", "Trans-Europe Express". Their live shows are built around synchronised visuals rather than showmanship, and UK dates are rare.

The timing is also hard to ignore. Glastonbury 2027 runs from 23 to 27 June at Worthy Farm, so the Cardiff show lands on the festival's opening day. Kraftwerk have not been announced for Glastonbury, and the festival has not confirmed any headliners, so treat any link as speculation. The full bill is not expected before spring.

If you want to go, set an alarm for Friday morning. Castle and courtyard shows with a band this size tend to move quickly.
