The Isle of Wight Festival has named its first wave for 2027, and the top of the bill is a good snapshot of what a British summer festival looks like right now: a dance-floor veteran, a pop showman and an American arena rock band. Fatboy Slim, Robbie Williams and Kings of Leon are the three headliners, with the festival running from 17 to 20 June 2027 at Seaclose Park in Newport.
The festival's official site confirms the dates and the full first-wave list. It does not say which headliner plays which night, so we will wait for the running order rather than guess.
Who else is playing
Under the headliners sit a lot of familiar festival names. Bastille, Courteeners, Becky Hill, Myles Smith, Kaiser Chiefs and Rudimental lead the second tier, alongside 5 Seconds of Summer, Inhaler, Jack Savoretti, Keo, T'Pau and Scouting For Girls.
The most interesting name for anyone who grew up on 1990s Swedish pop is The Cardigans, the band behind "Lovefool", who are back on a British festival bill. The list is rounded out by The Lilacs, Cruz Beckham & The Breakers, Aaron Rowe, Logicaltramp and the Rick Parfitt Jnr Band. More acts are promised before the summer.
Why it matters
The Isle of Wight Festival is one of the longest-running names in British music. The original 1970 edition drew one of the biggest crowds in festival history, and the modern version has been running since the festival was revived in 2002. The 2027 edition is the 25th since that revival.
It is also an early marker for the UK festival calendar. Headliner announcements this far out set the tone for the rest of the 2027 season, and the mix here leans towards crowd-pleasers over risks.
Tickets
A PayPal presale opened on Friday 23 October 2026, running for 48 hours from 8am BST. General sale is expected to begin on Monday 26 October at 8am. Prices were not listed on the festival's front page at the time of writing, so check the official tickets page before you plan a budget.
If you are building a summer around festivals, we are keeping track of lineups and dates in the ADMC gig guide, and you can follow Kings of Leon and Rudimental on their artist pages.
