Brandi Carlile's Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2027 books Kelly Clarkson, Sierra Ferrell and CMAT for five days in Mexico

Brandi Carlile has filled out the bill for the eighth Girls Just Wanna Weekend, and it is a wide one: pop, country, Americana, indie rock and a comedian, all on one beach in Mexico.

The dates and the place

The festival runs from 14 to 18 January 2027 at the Barceló Maya Resort on the Riviera Maya, the all-inclusive stretch of Quintana Roo coast south of Cancún. It is a destination festival, so tickets are sold as travel packages through the official site rather than as single-night passes. Prices are not listed publicly, and the site says packages start at 5% down.

Who is playing

Brandi Carlile hosts and headlines, joined by Kelly Clarkson and Sierra Ferrell, the West Virginia singer whose old-time country has made her one of Americana's biggest live draws. Kelly Clarkson brings the pop end of the bill.

Why it is worth a look

Most destination festivals sell the beach and book the music second. This one is a songwriter's own lineup, mixing genres that rarely share a bill. CMAT and The Beaches in particular are acts that more often play club rooms in Europe and North America, so a week in a resort with Carlile is an unusual setting.
