Elderbrook announces Heart on a Wire for 22 January 2027, his first album on Counter Records

Elderbrook has a new album on the way. Heart on a Wire is listed for release on 22 January 2027 on Counter Records, the label arm of Ninja Tune, and it will be his first record since he signed there.

If the name is new to you: Elderbrook is the British singer, songwriter and producer whose dance-leaning songs sit somewhere between club music and pop. He released his debut Why Do We Shake in the Cold? in 2020, followed by Little Love in 2023 and Another Touch in October 2024. He has since moved to Los Angeles.

What we know about Heart on a Wire

The streaming listing for the album shows 10 songs and a pre-release date of 22 January 2027, with Counter Records named as the label. A full tracklist and guest credits were not yet published when we checked, so we are not guessing at either.

The record arrives after a run of singles for the label. "Is It Over Now?" and "Staring at the Sun", which features Rules, came first, and "Never Get Enough" followed on 8 September 2026 with a music video. It is not yet confirmed which of these will sit on the album.

The label move

Counter Records is part of Ninja Tune, the London independent known for backing artists who do not sit in one genre. It is a change of home for Elderbrook, whose last album, Another Touch, came out through Mine Recordings.

He was in Los Angeles in recent weeks too, giving an artist chat at Beatport Connect LA on 25 September 2026 and playing a Beatport Live LA night alongside Eli & Fur on 1 October.

We will update this story when the tracklist and a first full-length single are confirmed.
