Drake and Don Toliver's "Solar Eclipse" is out, on a four-song HABIBTI (FOMO) update

The Drake and Don Toliver song that fans first heard in a short film last month now has an official release. On 2 October 2026, Drake put out HABIBTI (FOMO), an expanded edition of his May album HABIBTI with four new songs, and "Solar Eclipse" is one of them.
What was released
HABIBTI first arrived on 15 May 2026 as one of three Drake albums released that day, alongside ICEMAN and MAID OF HONOUR. The original HABIBTI had 11 tracks. The FOMO edition runs to 15, released through OVO under exclusive licence to Republic Records.
The four additions, in tracklist order:
- "Solar Eclipse" with Don Toliver
- "Quebec", Drake solo
- "Cold Shoulder" with Don Toliver and Yebba
- "Classic PT2", a follow-up to "Classic" from the original album
Where the songs came from
The new material comes out of FOMO, the hour-long film Drake premiered on YouTube on 15 September 2026, built from vignettes by directors including Jake Schreier and Theo Skudra. The film briefly disappeared after the premiere and has been back on his official channel since 17 September, but until this release there was no way to stream the songs on their own.
The "Choosin' Texas" connection
"Solar Eclipse" reworks Ella Langley's country hit "Choosin' Texas", a song Langley co-wrote with Miranda Lambert. Drake and Don Toliver take the original and flip it into a song of their own. Noel Cadastre has been named as the producer on the track, though that credit has not been officially confirmed yet.
The timing works out neatly for Langley. Five days before the release, "Choosin' Texas" won Best Country at the 2026 MTV VMAs.
What we have not confirmed
We have not been able to confirm the full production and songwriting credits for "Solar Eclipse" from an official source yet. Online claims about how the publishing on the song was split have not been confirmed by Drake, Langley or their teams, so we are leaving them out. We will update this story if full official credits are published.
