Diljit Dosanjh is bringing his AURA World Tour to India, and he is starting big. He plays the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, 21 November 2026, in what is so far the only Indian date on the tour.
How it was announced
Diljit broke the news from the stage at Wembley Stadium in London on 12 September 2026, a night Rolling Stone India reported made him the first Punjabi artist to headline the venue. His pitch to the crowd, roughly translated: India has the biggest stadium, so of course a Punjabi has to play it. He followed it up on social media with a simple "KEM CHO AHMEDABAD", a Gujarati greeting to the city he is about to fill.

If you are travelling in, Time Out notes that Motera Stadium metro station is a short walk from the venue, which will matter on a night like this.
Why Ahmedabad
The Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest cricket ground in the world, with a capacity reported at 132,000, and it hosted Coldplay's two huge nights in January 2025. Booking it for a solo Punjabi headliner is a statement about where Diljit's live draw now sits, at home as much as abroad.
It also fits the arc of the AURA era. The tour has already taken him across Europe and North America, and Ahmedabad is the first time that run touches Indian soil. Whether more Indian cities follow has not been announced, so for now, this is the one.
