Bollywood Music Project is marking its tenth year with a one-day festival in Mumbai on 24 October 2026, and the bill is built around the people who made Hindi film music what it is.
The festival will be held at Jio World Garden, with gates opening at 2 pm and music from 3 pm, according to the District listing. The festival's lineup announcement on 3 October lists more than 20 artists across a main stage and a second stage.
Who is playing
Himesh Reshammiya headlines the main stage with songs from across his career. Shilpa Rao is billed for a prime-time set, and Hariharan performs with his son Akshay Hariharan. Composer Anu Malik features in a collaborative showcase.
The rest of the main stage bill includes the band Euphoria, Roopkumar Rathod and Sunali Rathod with a Sufi and romantic set, and Neeraj Shridhar. A collaboration between Euphoria, Vaishali Samant, Shalmali Kholgade and Abhay Jodhpurkar is also on the schedule.
The second stage leans folk, indie and fusion. Kutle Khan, Junaid Ahmed, Bombay Bandook and Jaan Kumar Sanu are among the names announced, covering Rajasthani folk, indie rock and pop.
Tickets
Tickets are sold exclusively on District by Zomato. When we checked on 4 October, General Access was listed at ₹2,199 in the current phase, with the HSBC Starstruck Lounge at ₹3,999 and table bookings priced higher. Check the District listing for the live price before you buy, as tiers can move.
Why it matters
Most Indian festivals chase global headliners. Bollywood Music Project has spent a decade doing the opposite: putting playback legends, pop-era favourites and indie acts on one lawn. In the festival's announcement, organiser Deepak Choudhary said the idea was to build a space where "legendary maestros, pop artists and indie musicians could coexist on the same stage." The 2025 edition drew over 20,000 people, per the same announcement.
For Mumbai that makes 24 October a busy day: Spotify RAP91 Live is the same date, and it pulls a very different crowd. If you want film music live at scale, this is the one to pick.
