Björk is releasing a live album of one of her most unusual concerts. Björk Orkestral with the Hamrahlíð Choir is up for pre-order now and ships on 27 November 2026, on One Little Independent, as a black vinyl LP, a CD, a DVD and a Blu-ray, according to the official Björk shop.
What was recorded
The album captures the show Björk played on 24 October 2021 at Harpa, the concert hall on Reykjavík's harbour. It was part of her Orkestral series of concerts staged during Iceland Airwaves, with the 50-member Hamrahlíð Choir, one of Iceland's best-known choral groups, conducted by Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir. Bergur Þórisson was the musical director, playing organ and handling electronics.
Björk has a long history with the choir: she sang with the group as a teenager, and it joined her for Utopia and the Cornucopia shows that followed.
The tracklist
Eleven songs, and most of them come from Medúlla, her 2004 album built almost entirely from human voices. That record was famously hard to take on the road, so a choir is a natural fit for it.
- show me forgiveness

Why it matters
This is a document of a live, voice-led night rather than a new studio project, and the DVD and Blu-ray editions put the Harpa performance on screen as well as on record.
Price check for UK buyers on the shop listing: £23.99 for the LP, £10.99 for the CD, £16.99 for the DVD and £19.99 for the Blu-ray. At the time of writing the CD, DVD and Blu-ray options were showing as unavailable on the shop page, so stock may be limited.
