Angèle's Instinct is out today: 13 tracks, with Justice, Soulwax and Caroline Polachek
The Belgian pop star's third album lands on 16 October, her first in more than four years, with four guests and a harder electronic edge.

Angèle's third album, Instinct, is out today, 16 October 2026, on her own GGL Records. It is 13 tracks long and it is her first full album since Nonante-Cinq in 2021, so a gap of more than four years.
If you are meeting her for the first time: Angèle is a Belgian singer, songwriter and pianist from Brussels who became one of the biggest French-language pop artists of the last decade. Her records sit between sharp, diaristic pop and dancefloor production, and she sings in French and English.
The guests
The guest list is the headline, and it leans electronic.
- Soulwax, the Belgian dance duo, appear on "Trop".
- Justice, the French house pair, are on "What You Want".
- Caroline Polachek and SebastiAn share "Love Triangle".
That is a pointed set of names for a pop record. Justice and SebastiAn come from the Paris dance label scene, and Soulwax have been rebuilding pop and club music from Ghent for more than twenty years. Polachek brings the art-pop end of the same spectrum.
The singles
Three songs came out ahead of the album. "Dis-le" arrived in June, "What You Want" with Justice followed, and "Une seule vie" ("only one life") was the third single, with a video released in late August. Earlier in the campaign she also put out a separate single, "run", with the Belgian techno DJ Amelie Lens.
What is on it
Beyond the guests and singles, the tracklist has French titles like "Au revoir", "On verra" ("we'll see"), "Je compte" and "Tout décider", alongside English ones such as "F4ck 4ever" and the closer, "NYC Blues". The record opens with a short intro that shares the album's name.
We are not reviewing it here. This is a guide to what the record is and who is on it; the full verdict belongs to the people who spend a week with it.
