Wale Idris is a Nigerian-born rapper and songwriter, and his style is fact-paced and lyrically adept. He has a talent for telling dense, complex stories in the span of a short song (typically 2-3 minutes). His main influences, as listed by himself, are J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Saba and Kota the Friend. This is shown through his music, as it is a breath of fresh air, especially when compared to many of the new rappers. His songs tend to have a chill, laid-back style.
