There are at least three artists named "Buddy": 1) Buddy is an American singer-songwriter originally from Portland, Oregon. He began developing an interest in music at an early age, receiving his first guitar at age 10 and forming his first band by the time he was 16, influenced by R.E.M. Buddy attended Providence College in Rhode Island, where he studied English. During this period he experienced significant stage fright, which affected his early performing career.
